Hojokban is one of my favorite Korean fusion spots and it never disappoints every time I visit. The food is always absolutely yummy, and some of my must-order dishes are the truffle potato pancake, beef tartare, and bossam. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing Korean fusion food!

Tried the soy-marinated crab lunch set and honestly… worth the hype if you love raw marinated seafood. The ganjang gejang (soy-marinated crab) was incredibly rich, buttery, and packed with umami without tasting overly fishy or salty. Definitely one of those meals that feels indulgent from the first bite. We also ordered the spicy crab roe bibimbap, which ended up being the sleeper hit for me — super flavorful, spicy in a balanced way, and mixed perfectly with the egg yolk + seaweed. The textures throughout the whole meal were so satisfying. What really made the lunch set feel complete were all the side dishes: * delicious kimchi * a surprisingly good kimchi pancake * tofu steak that was soft, savory, and comforting * soup, rice, seaweed, and banchan that actually felt thoughtful instead of filler The only downside: it’s definitely pricey for lunch, and they charge an extra $2 for additional side dishes/kimchi, which felt a little unnecessary given the overall cost. That said, the portions were filling enough that we left genuinely full and very satisfied. We turned up here since we were in midtown and looking a nice dinner spot that’s open late (last seating at 22:30). The food was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the fried potato pancakes with a truffle sauce and the beef short rib (hojok galbi), which had incredibly tender meat that was flavorful and some kick from the peppers. We also got the Perilla oil noodles which were quite refreshing. The noodles were served cold which initially surprised us but they turned out quite refreshing. We finished with a cinnamon dusted ice cream which we also loved.

Went for lunch didnt realize the pop up was going on but decided to stay and try it out. I got the spicy crab roe bibimbap it was really delicious and the sides were so good I really loved the soup it was so soothing the tofu was crispy and has a delicious sauce and the crispy seafood pancakes absolutely delicious the yuja highball was so refreshing and would definitely get again. The service was 5 stars they refilled water very fast removed dishes once you finished checked on me constantly asked for feed back and had very pleasant energy constantly smiling and enjoyable to be around. I went back to try dinner and the food was delicious. The meat was tender,juicy and flavorful. The truffle potatoes were my favorite and I ordered the cilantro salad for delivery with the pork and the quality was amazing delivered.

Nice and cozy spot with good interior ambiance for dinner! Great staff here, they were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious! Especially the galbi, the meat was softer and easier to eat than most bossams that Ive tried! A must try!
